   Lynda Wright Day, of Semmes, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was a rural letter carrier for the Semmes Postal Service for 26 years before retiring. Before working for the postal service, she worked as a seamstress and was very talented with her work. She was dedicated and hard-working. She loved spending time with her family and her dog Peanut. She was proud of her family and anything they accomplished. She will be missed dearly by her husband, four children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, family and friends.

   She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Hayward W. Wright Sr., mother; Louise Jones, father; Richard “Buck” Jones Jr., brother; Tommy Jones, sister; Sherri Jones, and granddaughter; Sarah Beth.

   She is survived by her husband; Roy Day, Four children; Debrah Rogers (Mike), Kathy Quinn (Tim), Angela Wright, Hayward “Wesley” Wright Jr. (Joy), Grandchildren; Christina Maples (Carl), Joshua Rogers (Chelsea), Deanna Sumrall (Max), Jonathon Sumrall, Trent Wright (Jamie), Travis Wright, Brooke Wright (George), Jamie Howell, Taylor Wright, Catalina Jones, Great-grandchildren; Presleigh, Gabe, Farrah, Brantley, Chloe, Zayne, Liam, Paisley, Campbell, Lucie, Sister; Theresa Jones and Nephew; Stephen Jones. 

 Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Valhalla Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM with interment following in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
