Music by The Piano Brothers

Glen Sells was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.  He was born on August 4, 1929 to Homer and Daisy Sells, and he left this world for eternity on September 21, 2019. He was 90 years old. He is survived by his wife Audine Sells, his sister Violet Richardson, sons Eddie (Ena) Sells and Neal (Kathy) Sells,  grandchildren Carrie Sells, Eddie Sells Jr., Amber (Kevin) Threadgill, and Alan Sells, and great-grandchildren Hunter Buford, Audrey Threadgill, Autumn Threadgill, and Kieran Threadgill.

Glen was a hard worker all of his life; he knew the value of hard work, and he passed that ethic on to his family. He was retired from Courtalds Fibers, and was an advisor on many projects because of his vast expertise. He was a long-time member of Life Church, and considered his relationship with his Savior of the greatest importance. Glen was first and foremost a family man. He was married to his precious wife Audine for 65 years, and he had two sons, Eddie and Neal. He loved to support his four grandchildren, Carrie, Bubba, Amber and Alan, in all that they did-whether that was going to Friday night football games to watch the cheerleaders or band, or going fishing with his favorite fishing partner, he was a strong presence in their lives.  In the later years, he has treasured time spent with his oldest great-grandson Hunter, and his three great-grand daughters, Audrey, Autumn, and Kieran.  His family treasures the time that was spent with him. He instilled in his family the importance of faith, hard work, and a strong foundation of support.

We will forever miss this amazing man.

We will have a celebration of life on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Life Church. We ask that family join us at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, and that friends join us at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Service will be lead by Brother Dick Braswell and Brother Scottie Howard at 1:00 PM, with interment at Valhalla Memorial Gardens to follow.

To the Sells Family,
I was sorry to hear of Glen's passing. He and Audine were dear friends of my mom, Bobbie and Roy Bragg. They were the first to lend a helping hand to my husband, Kevin when we bought the house kitty corner to them. I spent many hours on the back porch visiting and sharing in fellowship. My thoughts and prayers 🙏🙏🙏 are with the family at this difficult time 💜💜💜. Prayers lifted for sweet Audine, pray for her health, strength that she'll need for the next days and weeks. Y'all take care of yourselves, and please call on me if there's anything I can do for you.🙏🙏💜💜🌷🌷

Uncle Glen was a fine man indeed. He loved Aunt Audine and his sons, and he was man of faith and principle. I can still remember to this day at a family reunion many years ago hearing Aunt Audine share with everyone assembled how blessed she was to have this man as a husband a father to her children, and all who knew him won't be surprised to know he sat quietly and smiled as she talked. With me at least and all of us children growing up, he was a man who didn't speak too many words, but every word he said was purposeful and instructive. The Gilmer Family of which he and Aunt Audine have always been building blocks will continue better and stronger because Uncle Glen became a part of it. Aunt Audine, you have our love and most sincere sympathy.

Carlton and Sarah's Grandson, Chris
