Ted Olen McDuffie Jr. aka Bubba and Sweet B, was born in Mobile Alabama, on July 20, 1965 and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 19, 2020.

He was a member of Trinity Worship Center for many years. He was saved and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit under the pastoral care of Bro. Johnny and Larry Thomas. We are eternally grateful for your love and care to our most precious son.

Bubba had some bumpy roads in his life. It started when he was a little fellow and the family called him the white tornado for a good reason. Nothing was safe on the Fish River riverbank. When he was 15, for Christmas present, his Dad took our old VW Beetle and with the help of some friends, turned it into a dune buggy. Painted it yellow. He managed to flip it over and crushed his left hand. Stayed in the hospital two weeks. He loved that ole thing and kept it for many years he also played football at MGM and graduated from there.

He worked most of his adult life out of the Sheet Metal Local and eventually worked for Bob Rachel at Bob’s Towing and he loved fishing with his Dad, Alabama football and the Smokey Mountains also he loved life and fought a valiant fight for over six years.

Ted is survived by his only child; Haydon McDuffie, and his friend Leslie Holloway, his grandson; Casey Ayer, parents; Ted and Diane McDuffie, two brothers; John McDuffie and Ryan McDuffie, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous friends and prayer partners.

Funeral service will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Family will receive friends on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of plants or flowers, we ask you that you please make a donations to your favorite charity in Bubba’s name.

I'm so happy to have had Bubba McDuffie as my friend since I was 12 years old. He was one of my sweetest friends. We had some good times in our old neighborhood in Eight Mile back in the day & we rode the school bus together and went to school together. He will surely be missed. I've been praying for him since he got sick. Now I will pray for his family & treasure the great memories I have of him. I am thankful to God for our friendship.
