  Earl Hebert, age 91, a native of Bayou La Batre and resident of Mobile, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, in a local hospital. Mr. Hebert was a veteren of the United States Coast Guard and the United States Army and proudly served in World War II as well as the Korean War. Mr. Hebert is preceded in death by his grandson; Steven Hebert.

  Mr. Hebert is survived by his wife; Murdis Hebert, four children; Dennis (Gisela) Hebert, Russell (Christine) Hebert, James (Renita) Hebert and Phillip (Cassandra) Hebert, three brothers; Curtis (Ann) Hebert, Conrad (Martha) Sanderson, and Ronnie (Edie) Sanderson, five grandchilden; Michelle, Suzie, Jennifer, Rusty and Kimberley, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020 from Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held, from the funeral home, on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.

He will be missed. Truly a wonderful man. Absolutely one of kind, in so many ways. I've always felt a certain connection to him. But I think everybody that knew him felt that way. He had the ability to make folks feel special. That's because he was, very special.

Mr. & Mrs. Hebert lived across the street long before my wife and I had our house built. They were always kind to me, Anna and Shannon Lazenby. He will be deeply missed.
