Arlie Ray Williams, born in Leaksville, Mississippi, entered into eternal rest surrounded by the love of his family. Born to the late Minnie and Jonathan Williams, Arlie grew into a man defined by strength, integrity, and a deep devotion to those he cherished.
Arlie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mildred Williams. Married for 58 years, Mildred was his best friend, his partner in every adventure, and the love of his life. Their bond was the heart of his world, and today they are joyfully reunited.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Durell Williams, Bernie Williams, and Joe Williams; and his son, Brian Williams. He leaves to honor his memory his son, Gregory Williams (Donette); his daughter, Deborah Williams; and his devoted sister, Inez Ball.
Arlie built a long and successful career in sheet metal, earning respect for his skill, dedication, and unmatched work ethic. Yet his true passion lived beyond his profession. He found joy in building homes—creating places where his family could grow and memories could flourish. He was also an avid gardener, nurturing the earth with the same care and patience he gave to the people around him.
Arlie loved to travel with his wife and close friends, embracing the excitement of the open road and the beauty of discovering new places. Whether enjoying live music, exploring the country, or simply sharing laughter at the kitchen table, Arlie lived life fully and with gratitude.
He is lovingly remembered by his 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild—each a part of the legacy he built through a lifetime of love, guidance, and family devotion.
Arlie will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but there is peace in knowing he is finally resting and reunited with the love of his life. His legacy of love, hard work, and gentle strength will continue to guide his family for generations to come. May he rest in eternal peace.
