Barbara “MawMaw” Douglas

    December 6, 1943 – March 4, 2022     

   Barbara Anne Lott Douglas, known to everyone as MawMaw, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.Maw Maw loved everyone. If you ever came in contact with her, you were certain to hear these words….” where’s my hug,” and you weren’t leaving until she got one! She lived out the two greatest commandments, Love God and Love your neighbor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Underwood and Geneva Lott, brother -in-law Donnie Christ, son-in-law Dan Mrosowski, and her beloved husband of almost 50 years, William Douglas, Jr. 

   She is survived by two sisters, Linda Christ, and Kathy Seales (Dennis), Four children; Geneva Mrosowski, Virginia Stanley (Andy), Billie Purvis (Mike), and William Douglas, III (Michelle), twenty-five grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.

   Visitation will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM in Valhalla's Chapel on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Interment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Christopher Yokley, Brandon Yokley, Ryan Maxie, Joey Douglas, Charles Douglas and Michael Douglas. Honorary Pallbearers: Andrew Stanley, Jack Stanley, Brett Purvis, David Douglas, Joshua Douglas, Drake Douglas, Hunter Douglas, Jason Douglas, Michael (Red) Douglas, and Jesse Douglas.
