Billy Glenn Lester

   Billy Glenn Lester, a resident of Wilmer, Alabama passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Billy was born January 4, 1956 in Eastman, Georgia. Billy was a mechanic by trade and master of honey dos. There wasn’t anything he wasn’t skilled in; he was always up for a challenge. Billy was always a phone call away and always said yes to whatever you asked. He always found a way to help no matter what it was. Billy is preceded in death his son, Daniel Scott Lester, Sr., parents, Bill and Margie Lester, in-laws Luther and Minnie Stabler, sister Sandra Lee.

   Billy is survived by his wife; Mary Stabler Lester of 48 1/2 years, son; Steven (Allyson) Lester, daughter; Ashlea (Matt) Thompson, grandsons; Danny Lester, Matthew Thompson, Miles Lester, Jameson Lester, granddaughters; Madison Lester, Miranda Lester, Alayna Thompson and Annalea Thompson, sisters; Judy Peacock and Lucille (Lonnie) Sellars, many family members and friends.

We’ll always remember his giving heart and the memories made.

   Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm from Valhalla Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
