With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Bradley Maurice Dixon on February 17, 2025. He was born on August 14, 1981, to Danny and Peggy Dixon. Bradley was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, and friend. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by Bill and Elnora Miller and Thomas Ned and Minnie Mae Dixon. Bradley leaves behind his cherished wife, Bailey Loper, and children: Bradley (Magan) Dixon Jr., Kaila Dixon, Ella Dixon, Miller Dixon, Maddie Claire, and Kamren Smith. He was also given the proud name Opey by his dear grandchildren, Karson and Klayton Dixon, whom he adored. Bradley was a loving brother to Danielle (Bud) McCrory, Kim (Brian) Pettis, and Chance (Leslie) Dixon. As a proud uncle, he held a special place in the hearts of Kirstin Dickson, Ty Bunch, Cody Pettis, Kenleigh, Emma Cate and Braden McCrory, Lyon Dixon, and Audrey Campbell. His immense love for his family will be profoundly missed. Bradley will be remembered for his kindness and his readiness to help anyone in need. His infectious smile could brighten any room, and he was always up for a good time—you could BET on that. His legacy of love and commitment to his family will continue to resonate through the lives he impacted. Bradley’s final act of kindness was to give life to others through organ donation. We partnered with Legacy of Hope, and he was able to save three lives with this donation.
The arrangements are set for Tuesday, February 25, at Valhalla Funeral Home, with visitation from 10-11 am for family and 11-12 pm for friends. The service will begin at noon, followed by graveside honors at Indian Springs Cemetery. A celebration of Bradley’s life will take place on Tuesday, February 25, from 2-4 pm at Semmes Community Center, where family and friends will come together to remember him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations made via Venmo @bayloper or Cash App $bayloper3. Any donations received will be used towards the services of Bradley.
He had a deep passion for hunting, fishing, and Alabama football. Though Bradley is no longer with us, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he loved. May he rest in peace.
