Obituary

      Mr. Bruce Marshell Nolen, 88 of Mobile, AL. formerly of Cleveland, Tennessee has passed away peacefully from this life to the presence of his Savior on December 23, 2020. Mr. Nolen was born December 28, 1931 in Hilham, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was retired from International Paper Company after twenty seven years in the Data Processing Department. Prior to his illness, he was a faithful member of Snow Road First Baptist Church where he has served as a deacon. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was loved by everyone that knew him. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter; Joyce Elaine Nolen, parents; William Buford and Jonny Nolen, brothers; Jim and Frank Nolen, sisters; Marie Nichols and Mildred Goins and son-in-law; Jan Matheny.

     He is survived by his wife of sixty eight years Idella Nolen, sons;  Gary (Dinah) Nolen, David Nolen, Michael Nolen, daughter; Allison Matheny and special foster daughter; Lee Burkhart. Also survived by his siblings; Bill, Bob (Faye) and Mary Nolen, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews. Pall Bearers: Melvin Gregg, Gary Wayne Nolen, Ryan Nolen, Josh Nolen, Walker Nolen, and Gabriel West.

    Visitation for Mr. Nolen  will be held at Snow Road First Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 11:00AM - 12:00PM. Services will begin at 12:00. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
