It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Douglas Clark, affectionately known by many as Doug, Charlie, and Charles, on February 25,2025. He was born on January 3,1956, in Pascagoula, Mississippi at Singing River Hospital. A cherished father, devoted friend, and beloved companion to all who knew him, Doug's larger-than-life presence filled every room and every heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville Clark and Vivian Vice Kleckner; stepdaughter, Alysyn Collins; stepgrandson, Jayce Ward.
He is survived by his lifelong partner, Donna Collins Clark; sister, Lisa Clark Holleman (Tim); daughter, Heather Nicole Clark "Bruiser"; grandchildren, Alyzea Nicole Clark, Donald Marshall Robinson Jr. "D.J."; great-grandchild, Scarlett Olivia Jones; stepchildren, Lauren Collins, Amiee Collins; step grandchildren, Acelee, John, Lyla, Levi, Jordan, Jake, Dominic, and Majur.
Born with an adventurous spirit, Doug found his greatest joys in the simple delights of life. He felt most at home on the water, whether riding the waves on his boat or basking in the sun on the picturesque sandbar. His love for hunting in Buzzard Roast, Mississippi—nestled along the tranquil Pascagoula River—was a testament to his deep appreciation for nature and his adventurous soul.
Doug was more than just a passionate outdoorsman; he had a remarkable capacity to connect with every creature he encountered. His love for animals, both big and small, was evident, as he treated each with tenderness and respect. Their companionship brought him immeasurable joy.
Though he may no longer walk among us, Doug's spirit will forever remain in the memories we treasure—a reminder of love, friendship, and the boundless adventure we call life. He leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate to know him.
A visitation will be held on Monday March 3, 2025, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. -12:00 P.M.
