Claudette Dowling Baker Conine, entered into God’s Kingdom on June 4, 2023, at the age of 87. She was a resident of Mobile, Alabama and Mountain Home, Arkansas during her lifetime. Claudette graduated McGill-Toolen Catholic High School and went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Theology. She was also part of the welcoming committee for the USO at Brookley Field Air Force Base. It was here she met the love of her life, John Richard Conine who would stand by her side through thick and thin until his death in 2017. Claudette had many talents especially having the gift of using her hands for painting and making homemade bread. The love for her family was her priority and if you were lucky enough to be in her corner, she would protect you until the end. Claudette loved animals and was partial to her cat Misty who held a special place in her heart. Claudette had a quiet personality. Her natural charisma made is easy to make friends no matter the situation. Her smile was infectious to everyone around her. Claudette was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Conine and parents Claude and Nicolina Baker.
Claudette is survived by her sister Dorothy Green of Pensacola, Florida, her brother Harold Baker of St. Augustine, Florida and sister Diane Everette of Mobile, Alabama. As well as her daughters, Karen Crow, Joan Hudson and Nicolina Bradley, and her sons Richard Conine, and Phillip Conine. She was a loving Grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A private memorial will be held in Mountain Home, Arkansas in the fall of 2023.
