Courtney Renee Cassady transitioned into her heavenly home on January 8th, 2025, at the young age of 33 after her long-fought cancer battle of leukemia. She was born April 7th,1991 in Mobile, Alabama to Donna Cassady and Joey Cassady. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joy (Nana) and Albert (pawpaw) Rutherford.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Donna Cassady and Joey (Monica) Cassady; her sisters, Emily Cassady, Darien Adams (Bebop), Madison Cassady (Josiah) and Andrea Adams (Jody); her only brother, Aaron (April) Adams; her nieces, Skylar, Alaina, Bailey, Storm, and Abigail; her nephews, Karson, Andre, Javon, Josiah, and Blake along with many cherished friends and extended family.
Courtney was always a joy to be around. She had a smile and a laugh that would light up any room. She was a kind soul with a heart of gold. If she ever told you that she loved you, you better believe she did wholeheartedly.
Courtney was still trying to find her place in this world. She was full of adventure and forever seeking any experience she could to add to her bucket list. She loved a good time surrounded by the people she loved. She was up for anything no matter the time or day. She was taken way too soon from us. Her memory will live on through the ones she loved and the ones that loved her.
She fought her cancer battle against leukemia for 2 years. She wanted everyone to know she did not give up she simply let go. She traded in the pain, the hurt, the struggle and tears for eternal life with Jesus where none of the pain, hurt or disappointments of life would be present. She is our warrior.
Family and friends please join us for a visitation that will be held on Monday January 13th, 2025, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 11a.m-12p.m followed by a chapel service. In honor of her memory, she asked you incorporate the colors pink and yellow into your attire and come share your favorite stories of her.
