Dan Meadows Jr.

    Mr. Dan Meadows, Jr., 78, of Mobile, AL went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, September 2, 2025. He was born in Mobile, AL, on June 7, 1947, to the late Dan Meadows Sr., and Elizabeth Welsh Meadows.

    He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Faye Meadows; daughters, Leslie Daniene (Darryl) Mosley, Tina Elise (Thomas) Ridderbjelke; son, Timothy (January) Meadows; daughters, Alicia Ann (Daniel) Pate, Shanna Elizabeth (Andrew) Timothy; sisters, Diane Campbell, Darlene Lynn, Delores (Steve) Pearson; grandchildren, Kristie, Josh, Lauren, Jeffrey (Kayla), Taylor (Thomas), Bradley, Hannah, Grayson, Macie, Bella, Franklin, Brice, Rosemary, Charlotte-Ann, Josephine; 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

    Dan retired from the Mobile Press Register after 40 years. He then served 10 years as a bus driver for Mobile County Public Schools. He enjoyed teaching Sunday school, gardening, fishing, Tennessee football, woodworking, and most of all he loved animals and spending time with his loved ones. 

    A visitation will be held on Wednesday September 10, 2025, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. followed by a chapel service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
