Daniel Patrick Murray

Daniel Patrick Murray, 57, passed away on November 23, 2025. He was born on June 18, 1968, to Leonard “Pat” Murray and Nelda Faye Jenkins Murray. He was married to his beloved wife, Johnnie “Christine” Murray, for 30 years until their passing in a tragic car accident together. He dedicated many years to the Mobile County Public School System until his retirement in 2010. Daniel loved the great outdoors, where he had a passion for hunting and fishing. If he wasn't spending his time selling seafood, you could find him in the woods somewhere. He loved spending all of his spare time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his daughters, Claudia Collins (Matt Collins) of Gulfport, Mississippi, Christian Murray (Anthony Rutledge) of Butler, Alabama; grandsons, Finlin Lindeen, Wyatt Collins and Kayce Rutledge, along with Dustin Lindeen and many other friends and family members.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie “Christine” Murray, parents, Pat and Nelda Faye Jenkins Murray.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a chapel service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
