Don was an avid LSU football fan with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed his family to the fullest and loved sharing memories through descriptive, detailed stories that captivated everyone’s attention and brought a smile or laughter. Don loved riding bikes, a good card game or getting ice cream with family on Dauphin Island. As a talented craftsman, he could repair any size clock. His favorite pastime was watching John Wayne movies and he definitely knew them all. Don knew his source and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He realized its not how you start a race, but most importantly, how one finishes a race, and Don finished his race strong.
2 Timothy 4: 7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous will judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
