Doris Jayne Davis

   Doris Jayne Davis, 72, resident of Mobile, Alabama passed away on November 12, 2023. She was born on December 29, 1950. She worked with Alabama Department of pathology at University of South Alabama. She retired after 25 years. Jayne was a lover of dogs and a great cook. She is preceded in death by her husband; Lloyd Davis, parents; James Manuel Dyess and Louise Nicholson Dyess.

   She is survived by her one brother; James Dawson Dyess, three sisters; Mary Black, Gwynn (Tommy) Gordon, Kathy Stever, and a special niece; Jessica Mastin, nieces; Pamela Gregg, Reginia Davis, Candi Rester, Lisa Adams, Brandie Russ, nephews; Bill Lorimer, Johnny Davis and Justin Dyess and many great nieces and nephews. 

   Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 11:00 - 12:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home. A funeral service will start at 12:00 PM with interment following in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
