It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dorothy "Dot" Logan, beloved mother, and adoring grandmother, who left us peacefully on January 18, 2025, at the age of 83.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Marion Logan; parents, Bill and Ethel Knight; sister, Gloria Merritt.
Born July 31, 1941, Dorothy was a radiant soul whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. A devoted member of Pathway Church of God, Dot's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found great joy in serving her community and uplifting those around her, always approaching life with an infectious positivity.
As a mother, she was the steady hand and gentle heart that guided her children, instilling in them the values of compassion, resilience, and love. Her legacy continues through her three children, who have inherited her light and spirit. Dot's love extended to her role as a grandmother, where she flourished the most, showering her grandchildren with relentless affection and imparting wisdom that will be treasured for generations.
She is survived by her loving children, Kenneth (Gwen) Logan, John (Alice) Logan, Allison (Anthony) Logan; her cherished grandchildren, Mason Logan, MaKayla Ewing, Wyatt Logan, Meaghan Taylor, Chris Laughlin, Daniel (Cindy) Laughlin, Katelyn (Austin) Bryan; great grandchildren, Nataliee Taylor, Sean Roper Jr., Edward "Eddie " Roper; brothers, Billy (Patsy) Knight, Terry (Ann) Knight; sister, Melinda (Terry) Dolbare and her numerous friends who were fortunate enough to know her warmth.
A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Saturday January 25, 2025, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. followed by a chapel service at 12:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join us in remembering a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to love, kindness, and devotion.
Rest in peace, dear Dot. You will forever be in our hearts.
