Emily Yvonne Williams

    On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, Emily Williams, a long term resident of Wilmer, Alabama passed away at the age of 73. Emily was born on August 25, 1947 in Mobile, Alabama. She graduated from Vigor High School in 1965 and in 1970 she married Ernest Neal Williams. She spent the next 50 years as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Emily cherished her time with Ernest exploring the outdoors at their cabin in Kentucky. She also treasured spending Saturdays with her three grandchildren. Her devotion to her family was only surpassed by her love for the Lord. Though her health had her bedridden for the the last few years of her life, she always looked forward to hearing the word through media at home.

    Emily is survived by her husband; Ernest Williams, her son; Spencer Williams (Becky) and daughter; Heather Williams. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jay, Erin Smith (Jonathan) Elise and her sister; Deborah Blackburn as well as many other relatives and friends.

    A visitation service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 12:00 PM. on Friday, January 29, 2021. Internment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
