George Kenneth Hendrix Jr., age 64, of Wilmer, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, at his home. Born on December 18, 1960, in Atlanta, Georgia, Kenny was the son of Ken and Pat Hendrix. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. His life was a testament to his love for family, faith, and passion for the things he loved.
Kenny is survived by his beloved wife, Amy Robinson Hendrix; his two sons, Kenneth Drake Hendrix and Lucas William Hendrix; his brother, Ernest Hendrix, his sister, Terri (Greg) Nyberg as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless close friends who all held him dear.
He loved Jesus and was a member of Haven Woods Baptist Church. His faith was at the center of everything he did, and he will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to God and his compassionate heart.
Kenny was passionate about music and Kung Fu, where he excelled and inspired those around him. His love for both music and Kung Fu was not just a hobby but a way of life. He found peace, purpose, and joy in these pursuits, and his skill and dedication in each discipline were truly remarkable.
A celebration of Kenny's life will be held on March 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Haven Woods Baptist Church. The family invites all who knew and loved Kenny to join in honoring his memory.
Though Kenny is no longer with us, his legacy of faith, love, and excellence in all that he did will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation in his memory.
May he rest in peace, and may his life continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
