Geraldine "Gerrie" Griffin

    Geraldine P. Griffin, 78, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, at her home in Birmingham, Alabama with family. She was born on March 6,1947 in Darlove, Mississippi to the late Lee Odom Petty and Lillie Webb.

    She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Henry Griffin III; survived by her daughter, Melody Hunt (John); her sister, Ruth Zellers and grandchildren; Megan, John Mark, Joseph, Josh, Mandy and Ella; three great grandchildren, Atlas, Israel, Kairo and other family members. 

    Gerrie was passionate about reading, politics, education and family. 

     A visitation will be held on March 28, 2025, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. followed by a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
