Hayward Wesley Wright

    Hayward Wesley Wright, Sr. passed away Wednesday morning, June 9, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was a long-time resident of Semmes, AL and retired from CSX Railroad. He loved Alabama football and Jimmy Swaggered. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He loved for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to stop by his house and visit with him. He will be greatly missed by his family, but we rest in the fact that we know he is with His Lord and Savior.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Wright, his father, Charlie Wright, his 5 siblings, and his granddaughter, Sarah Beth McCullough.

     He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lynda, four children, Debbie Wright Rogers (Mike), Kathy Wright Quinn (Tim), Angela Wright, and Hayward Wesley Wright, Jr. (Joy), 10 grandchildren, Christina Sumrall, Deanna Sumrall, Jonathon Sumrall, Joshua Rogers, Jamie Rogers Howell, Catalina Jones, Trent Wright, Travis Wright, Brooke Wright, Taylor Wright, 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and his dog, Peanut.

   Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A funeral service on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 12:00 PM. at Valhalla Funeral Home. Internment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
