Homer Houston Sutherland, Jr.

     Homer Houston Sutherland, Jr. was born on March 26, 1938 and he entered the Church Triumphant on February 20, 2021. He was a loving husband for sixty years. He was a pastor for the Southern Baptist Convention for many years, shepherding many churches in Clarke, Washington and Mobile Counties, especially, Bel-View Baptist Church. He was a member of Crawford Methodist Church. As a bivocational pastor, he was also a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union, Number 441. Mr. Sutherland is preceded in death by his father; Homer Houston Sutherland, Sr.; mother; Florene Sutherland, brothers; J.W. Sutherland & Glenn Sutherland.

   He is survived by his devoted wife; Marjorie Sutherland, son; Paul Sutherland, Daughter; Allison Brunson, grandchildren; Zachary Robertson, Athena Sutherland, Benjamin Sutherland, Caleb Sutherland, Rachel Brunson; brothers; Kenneth Sutherland, Cedric Sutherland and many extended family and friends. 

   A funeral service will be held at Pathway Church on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow on Friday, February 26, 2021 in Crawford United Methodist Cemetery.
