James Bond Obituary

James Paul Bond, age 84, of Bayou La Batre passed away peacefully on August 31,2025.

He was born in Hamilton, Ohio and was the eldest son of Odus Bond and Edna Virginia (Land) Bond. He is preceded in death by his son, James Dwayne Bond; three grandchildren, Jason Lee Foster, Jeremy Kyle Haynes and James Jarvis Vanwinkle. He is survived by three brothers, Daniel (LaCreta) Bond, Lawrence Ray Bond and Wayman (Anita) Bond; daughters, Sandra Darlene (Robert) Hogan, Tiny Annette (Red) Johnson, Brenda Lee (Ronnie) Branum, Myrdella June Allen and stepdaughter Teresa (Doug) Sharpee; one son, Garrick Frank Metz; partner Elizabeth (Peggy) Taylor; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

He spent his career as a dedicated truck driver, known for navigating long highways with steady resolve and integrity.
