James Alkus Chambliss

    James A. Chambliss passed away peacefully at the age of seventy two at his home in Semmes, AL. on Monday, May 17, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents; Mittie Chambliss, William Chambliss, and his daughter; Angel Chambliss.

    He is survived by his wife of fifty two years; Betty Chambliss, three daughters; Evangelistia Dearmon, Tanya Neese, Virginia (Mack) Phillips, two sons; Rocky Chambliss, Christopher Chambliss, three sisters; Ramona Chambliss, Thelma Childers, Beverly Chambliss, twenty five grandchildren, and seventeen great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

  Visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A funeral service on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 12:00 PM. at Valhalla Funeral Home. Internment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
