James Douglas Gordon

      James D. Gordon, a native of Mobile, AL and resident of Monroe, LA departed this life on Sunday May 3, 2015 surrounded by his family. He loved golfing, Alabama football and watching westerns. He retired as District Manager from A&P Grocery after 45 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Phyllis Gordon, his children; Della (Hugh) Brewer, and Jimmy (Debbie) Gordon, Step Children; Robert Easley, and Christina (Roger) Elahi, five grandchildren; Adam (Lacey) Gordon, Kara (John) Nicholas, Brandon (Nicole) Brewer, Rebekah (Terry) Shaeffer, Jonathan Gordon, and seven wonderful great grandchildren; Tristan, Chloe, Emmy, Jake, Grey, and Sophia. Visitation for James will be on Monday May 11, 2015 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home. Grave side services will follow at 11:30 in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
