Mr. James Kenneth Vance (Jimmy) born August 6th, 1949, age 74 in Union Mississippi preceded in death by his loving wife; Kathy Teresa Vance, son; Scott James Vance, mother; Evelyn Vance and father; George Vance.
He is survived by his daughter; Angela Nicole Vance, grandson; Mason Terry McPherson, granddaughter; Miranda Ondie Vance along with many other friends', family and loved ones.
He lived his life in Mobile, Alabama where he was a successful businessman owning Vance Electric company. His time was split between Alabama and Louisiana where he was a successful Quarter Horse trainer and a member of the American Quarter Horse Association for 40 plus years. Jimmy made a huge impact on the quarter horse community and all the friends he made as they also made a huge impact on him. Jimmy was enlisted in the National Guard in 1967 where he was a paratrooper. He will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and loved ones. Jimmy was a very loving husband, a great father, a great grandfather, uncle, friend and all-around individual.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 11a - 12p. at Valhalla Funeral Home. A funeral service will start at 12p with interment following in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
