Jayce Cole Ward

Jayce Cole Ward was born on August 22, 2005, to the parents of Johnathan Ward and Amiee Collins. Jayce passed away suddenly and joined our Lord and Savior on August 06, 2024, at the tender age of 18 years old. 

Jayce was preceded in death by his maternal Aunt Alysyn Jeanne Collins Stone of Wilmer AL, maternal Great Grandfather Chris Collins of Wilmer, AL and paternal Great Grandmother Mary Taylor of Semmes, AL.

Jayce is survived by his parents Johnathan Ward of Wilmer, AL and Amiee Collins (Dylan Davis) of Irvington, AL. Siblings Acelee and John Ward of Wilmer, AL and Levi and Lyla Davis of Irvington, AL.

Grandparents John and Angela Ward of Wilmer, AL and Donna and Charles Clark of Wilmer, AL. The most loving Aunts, Lauren Collins (Aunt Dada) of Mobile, AL and Aunt Ash and Uncle Joel of Citronelle, AL. Along with cousins, aunts, uncles and an incredible amount of friends who were like family. Jayce was loved immeasurably by all who knew him.

Jayce was a recent graduate of Mary G Montgomery Highschool Class of 2023 with aspirations of joining the U.S. Army this fall. 

Jayce was an avid lover of the outdoors and enjoyed himself most when he was spending time on a riverbank with a fishing pole in his hand. He lived for the thrill of his next catch.  Jayce had a spark for life that was brighter than the sun and truly lived each day like it was his last, while always looking ahead to his next adventure. To know him, was to love him. His beautiful smile and infectious laugh will dance in our memory until the end of time. 

Though his time with us here on Earth was brief and our hearts will never possibly heal from this insurmountable loss, our family finds solace in knowing that our beautiful boy is at peace. 

The family will receive visitors Friday August 16, 2024, from 11am-12pm with funeral service to follow at 12pm at Valhalla Memorial in Eight Mile, AL.

Jayce will be laid to rest at Wilmer Cemetery in Wilmer, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to be made in Jayce’s memory to The Mission of Hope Ministries.
