John James Collins

    It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Collins, who left us on Wednesday, August 18th, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. John was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.

    Born to Lynn Norton and Dorothea Bowers, John was a man of great integrity and compassion. He cherished his family above all else, and his love for his wife, Anna Collins, was a testament to the deep bond they shared. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support.

    John was a proud father to his daughter, Andie Ronneberg, and he took immense joy in being a devoted "Papa" to his grandchildren. His playful spirit and gentle guidance will be deeply missed by them.

    In addition to his immediate family, John is survived by his stepparents, Mark Bowers and Rosanne Norton, who embraced him with love and support throughout his life. His legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

    A memorial service will be held to honor John's life and legacy on Saturday September 6, 2025, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m.
