Johnny Chris Higginbotham, 67, of Wilmer, AL peacefully passed away at his home on May 2, 2025. He was born December 5, 1957, to the late Burnett Higginbotham and Helen Snowden.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Higginbotham; sons, Justin Higginbotham, Joshua Higginbotham; brothers, Albert Higginbotham, Davie Higginbotham, Greg Higginbotham.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Higginbotham; mother, Marie Hergenroder; five children, Chris (Erica) Higginbotham, Jesse Higginbotham, Krickett Higginbotham, Johnny Higginbotham II, Roger Bolen; ten grandchildren; three sisters, Kathy Higginbotham, Cindy Brannon, Sharron Knowles and numerous family and friends.
Johnny (Pops) was a great husband, father, and friend. He loved his family and always wanted to be as close as he could to them all the time. He loved to hunt and would fish every day if he could. He spent most of his life working on cars or working at Ingall's Shipyard where he was a pipefitter for many years. He will be forever loved and missed by so many people.
A visitation will be held on Monday May 5, 2025, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. followed by a chapel service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
