Julie Moseley Richardson, age 84, passed away on September 2, 2023. She was born in St. Stephens, AL on April 19,1939. She retired from Scott Paper Company after a 28-year employment. She was a member of Shelton Beach Baptist Church. Although she was not able to attend for some years, she loved her church. She loved to sing in the choir, and her favorite song was anything with a good beat. She loved music. Back in the day she was an avid bowler. Her favorite pastime was a good card or board game, and you needed to be warned that she was not there to lose! However, her favorite thing was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Massey L. Moseley Sr, Fannie Mae Moseley; husband, Charles Richardson; brothers, Massey Moseley Jr. and Joseph Moseley; sisters, Robbie Granade, Ruby Deas, and Dorothy Baker; and some very special in-laws, Sam Granade, James Sheffield, James Napper, Nell Moseley, Laura Moseley, and Harvey Deas; and one dearly loved nephew, Sammy Granade.
She is survived by her daughter, Fawn Price (Buddy), son, Cliff Williams; granddaughter Kara Holifield (Justin). Three grandsons; Keith Williams (Crystal), Blake Williams (Malorie), Carson Williams, and eight great-grandchildren, Dalton, Carly, Jackson, Hadley Grace, Maddie, Sophia, Kage, and Knox. She is also survived by two brothers, H.M. Moseley and John Felix Moseley; and three sisters; Ruth Napper, Flora Johnson, and Mildred Sheffield. A host of nieces and nephews, friends and family. The family would also like to say “Thank You” to Palm Gardens Nursing and Rehab facility for caring for her so well for the last 6 years. There are too many to mention, but we say a special thank you to Tabitha, Whitney, and James (physical therapy).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 1-3pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. A brief song and prayer will close the visitation. Interment will follow at Faith-Walker cemetery in St. Stephens, Alabama.
