Obituary

     On Tuesday, February 9, 2021; Kent Alan Welch, loving husband, father, and brother passed away at age 67. Kent was born on December 22, 1953 to Roy and Doris Welch. He was an electrical contractor for forty years and a hardworking man his whole life.  He was an athlete, a Tennessee Volunteer fan, an artist, music aficionado, and lover of nature and wildlife. Kent was a kind, loving, and loyal friend. Irreplaceable and loved forever by his family who considered him the stronghold of their lives. His family in Tennessee will forever have memories of him being the first grandchild and being as warm and welcoming of a person as anyone could be. They will all hold him up as he rejoins his past loved ones to the promised land until his family can be reunited again. Kent was predeceased by his parents Roy Lee Welch and Doris Cleveland Welch.

   He is survived by his wife Tammy Mitchem Welch, children Alyne Welch Michael (Travis), Madison Avery Welch and Ana-Riley Lee Welch. He also leaves behind a brother John Welch (Jason Doyle) a sister Kelli Welch (Kate Kelly) and a nephew Parker Welch. Uncles and Aunts Ronnie and Joanne Beeler and Jerry and Darlene Cleveland and many beloved cousins.

     Funeral services will be held at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home, 8730 Sims Rd Eight Mile Alabama, Tuesday, February 15, 2021, visitation from 11:00 A.M – 12:00 P.M. service in the chapel at 12:00 P.M.  Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
