Kimberly Yvette Pearson, 45, of Wilmer, Alabama, passed away on May 28, 2026. Born on January 30, 1981, Kimberly was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend whose warmth, humor, and fierce love for her family made her unforgettable.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rev Howell Smallwood and his wife, Brownie; Rev Virgil Stewart and his wife, Barbara; her aunt, Angel Trousdale; and her father‑in‑law, Terry Perry.
Kimberly is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Pearson; her parents, Edith (David) Masters and Marty Smallwood Sr.; and her four children, Angel Turner, Michelle (Zach) Beck, Amanda (Devin) Holifield, and Matthew Pearson. She is also survived by her brothers, Marty (Rachel) Smallwood and Nathaniel (Lauren) Turner; and her three cherished grandchildren, Trae, Alani, and Scarlett, who were the absolute light of her life.
Kimberly loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She was a die‑hard Georgia football fan, a NASCAR enthusiast, and someone who could often be found tanning in her yard with an iced coffee in hand. She enjoyed trips to the casino, and she treasured every visit back to her hometown in Georgia, where she felt closest to her roots and her family.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a chapel service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
