In Loving Memory of
Lewis Nolan Stringfellow, Jr. (July 27, 1935-May 20, 2024)
Lewis Nolan Stringfellow, Jr., beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024, at the age of 88, surrounded by his loving family at home in Fairview, AL. Lewis grew up in Mobile, AL where he attended Murphy High School. Upon finishing high school, he joined the Army and served in the Philippines. Once back home he began working for National Linen Service where he met our mother. They married in 1961 and raised three children and enjoyed life together for 63 years. Lewis was a construction worker for many years and retired from truck driving. In his spare time, Lewis enjoyed woodworking and beekeeping, but nothing gave him greater joy than spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a founding member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Lewis was always quick with a smile and always made everyone feel welcome and at home. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Ola Stringfellow, his beloved son, Lewis Nolan Stringfellow, III and three sisters, Margaret Mason, Mary Worley and Monica Dees.
Lewis is survived by his wife; Laura Stringfellow, their children; Karen Bexley (Jerry), Laura Johnson (William), Leslie McNeil (Chris), one sister, Mozelle Moates (Herman), ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
