Linda Rae Stokes Sandifer Boykin, 79, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on September 16, 2024. She was born on October 23, 1944. She is preceded in death by her parents; Benjamin Hardy Stokes and Myrtis Howell Stokes, husband; Joseph Wesley Boykin, brother and sister-in-law; Linwood Arnell and Mary Keel Stokes, nephew; William David Stokes.
She is survived by one son; Mitchell Hardy Sandifer, daughter-in-law who has been like a daughter; Karen Percival Sandifer, one granddaughter; Amanda Leigh (Alex) Brannan, one great granddaughter; Vera Gray Brannan, one grandson; Timothy Allen Sandifer (Cecelia), one great grandson; Henry Owen Sandifer, one niece; Gwendolyn Stokes Hughes, one grandniece; Jessica Malpas Zhan, one grandnephew; Christopher Malpas, two great grandnieces; Kinsley Boylan, Adalynn Tarwick, two great grand nephews; Easton Boylan, Andrew Gates, one great-great grandnephew; Kaden.
Linda was a member of Moffett Road Baptist Church where she was active in mission groups and taught Sunday school for 47 years. She was also a member of the Bonnie Blue Flag Chapter, United Daughter of the Confederacy and the Tristan de Luna Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
Visitation will be held at Moffett Road Baptist Church on Friday September 20, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by interment at Howell Cemetery in George County, Ms.
