As a young child, Lindsey showed an uncanny aptitude for anything musical. Along with her sisters, she demonstrated the God-given ability to sing alto that blended as only family harmony can. She was an essential member in her family’s gospel singing group that evangelized all over the Southeastern United States for many years. Many miles of interstate highways have been covered by the beautiful harmonies of Lindsey and her sisters. The anointing of her voice and the kindness of her spirit touched the lives of countless people along the way.
In high school, Lindsey was chosen to travel to Samford University in Homewood, Alabama, to attend the Alabama All-State Choir for two consecutive years. She was a beautiful, talented, active, vibrant, caring individual with a soft spot for any animal in distress. She probably rescued more animals than the Incredible Dr. Pol. That same spirit went out to people in distress as well. Whether it was an ear to listen to or a shoulder to cry on, Lindsey genuinely cared for other people’s pain even while she carried the weight of her own.
Lindsey accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at the young age of 11 years old. She was fascinated with the deeper meanings of God’s Word, always searching to know the continuity of the Bible from beginning to end. With the promise that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, we are confident Lindsey is singing in the presence of God now. She is totally free and healed.
Thank you, God, for the 36 wonderful years you gave us with our precious daughter, sister, mother, and friend, Lindsey Elizabeth Normand.
