Margaret Gayle Sweat

   Margaret Gayle Woody Sweat, 75, was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Trommie Sylvester and Margaret Rebecca Morgan Woody.  She gained her wings on October 3, 2021 and is now dancing with the Angels. Margaret has touched so many lived over the years through her years of waitressing. She enjoyed spending time on the beach, traveling, and taking cruises.  Margaret enjoyed Mardi Gras season and was a member of the Neptune Daughters Society.  She took pride in caring for her family and would cherish the time spent with them.  Margaret would take trips with her son when they would travel on their motorcycles.  She loved riding and always looked forward to the fellowship.  Margaret liked to do crafts in her spare time for a bit of tranquility. She was saved and believed in Jesus Christ as her Savior. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Samuel Thomas Ezell, Dale Edward Sweat; one sister, Ann Miller; one brother, Johnny Woody and one step-son, Darrell Sweat. 

   Left to cherish Margaret’s beautiful memories will be her beloved children: one daughter, Paula Ann Ezell and companion Elizabeth Hansen; one son, Tommy D. Ezell and wife Melinda; two step-children: Denise Smith, Darrick Sweat; three siblings: Shirley Guy and husband Edward, Pat Mosley and husband Bruce, Billie Jo Hatcher and husband Johnny; two grandchildren: Justin Ezell, Emily Ezell; one great-grandson, Austin Ezell; her companion, Louie Spoone; mom was loved by many nieces, nephews, along with many extended family member and so many wonderful friends. 

   The family would like to express our sincerest gratitude towards all of our extended family and friends for the prayers and condolences provided during such a great time of need.

   A Celebration of Life service for Margaret will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Semmes Recreation and Community Center, 10141 Moffett Road, Semmes, Alabama 36575.
