Marie Davis entered this world on March 7,1948. She has moved on to her eternal life with our savior, Jesus Christ on April 30, 2021. Marie graced us with 73 years of her contagious & loving personality. She will be missed by so many. Marie was known for her love of her family, her friends, and her church family. She loved God with all her might, mind and strength. Loved ones knew her as beloved wife, patient mama, loving grandmother “Meme”, thoughtful sister, and faithful daughter. She loved to call Brian and Lance “her boys” and cherished every minute with them. She was a talented seamstress that made countless weddings gowns, formal dresses, and outfits for her family. She had an angelic voice and loved to share it in her church choir. She was also a talented musician. She loved her family with a passion that is unmatched. She devoted her life to Tommy and their marriage, and had a successful 55 years together on June 10. 2021. She loved her grandkids and followed them to all their activities. Jack and Elle, her dogs, was her pride and joy. She loved her work as the Assistant Director at Semmes First Baptist. She will be missed beyond words, but we take comfort knowing that she is with The God she loved so much. She is preceded in death by her parents; Mildred Steber and James Posey.
She is survived by her loving husband; Tommy Davis, two sons; Brian (Kim) Davis, Lance (Tamara) Davis, one sister; Laurye Brunson, seven grandchildren; Brianna, Barclay, Brooke, Kinsley, Dustin, Dylan, Branson and two great-grandchildren Kane & Braxton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Semmes First Baptist. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Semmes First Baptist Church. Internment will follow in Semmes First Baptist Cemetery.
