Marilyn McCollough Wilkerson

   Marilyn McCollough Wilkerson, born September 14, 1943 passed away Friday, July 16, 2021. She was a remarkably loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, "Queenie", cousin and friend. Marilyn was born in St. Elmo, Alabama. to Randall and Myrtle McCollough. She was a graduate of Mobile County High School and a long time employee of Loyal American Life Insurance Company. She spent the last forty five years as a resident of Semmes, Alabama where she and her husband Steve welcomed and raised their beloved only child, Daniel. Marilyn was one of God's sweetest souls on this earth and was loved by all who knew her. She loved Jesus, her family and her friends with her whole heart. Marilyn is preceded in death by  her husband, Stephen Wilkerson; her parents, brothers, Jimmy McCollough, Wayne McCollough; and her sister Margaret Estle. 

   She is survived by her son, Daniel (Jennifer) Wilkerson; her beautiful pride and joy grand daughter, Kylie Wilkerson; brother, Randy McCollough (Judy); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Our comfort is found knowing she is with Jesus and that we will see her again in that perfect heavenly home God has promised his children.  

   A celebration of Marilyn's life will be on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Valhalla Funeral Home from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM with a chapel service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity or The American Cancer Society.  

   The family wishes to thank all those who have supported and prayed for Marilyn. A heart felt thank you is given to the caring staff of Allen Memorial Home and Covenant Hospice of Mobile, Alabama.
