Michael Gregory Lee,64, of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on October 29, 2025, at Providence Hospital in Mobile. He was born on November 15, 1960, to the late Woodie Lee and Louise Wiggins Lee.
Born and raised in Mobile, Michael dedicated his life to both his craft and his passions, leaving an indelible mark on the city he cherished. As a first-class carpenter, Michael played a pivotal role in shaping the skyline of Mobile. His skilled hands helped construct many of the large buildings and bridges that now stand as testaments to his hard work and dedication.
Beyond his professional achievements, Michael was a true lover of the sea. He found joy in deep-sea fishing, often spending weekends casting his line into the vast waters, where he felt most at home. The beach was his sanctuary, a place where he could unwind and connect with nature.
Michael is survived by his beloved brother and best friend, Andre Lee, who stood by his side through life’s journey. He leaves behind two devoted daughters, Rachel Lee Loper (Matthew) and Rebecca Lee Lamarand (Adam), as well as his stepdaughter, Kasey. His legacy continues through his six cherished grandchildren: AJ Lamarand, Penelope Lamarand, Emma and Amelia Loper, and Fabian and Zalen, who brought him immense joy and pride.
He is also survived by his nephew, Dre Lee, and his loving wife, Connie, who shared many beautiful years. Michael’s family will forever hold him close in their hearts, remembering his kindness, laughter, and the love he so freely gave.
A family gathering in his honor is to be held at his daughter Rachel's home at 9366 Fox Run Ct E, Semmes, AL, 36575, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, followed by a graveside service at Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, AL. Michael will be buried next to his mother, Louise Lee, and Father Woodie Lee.
