Nettie Verline Fillingim

   Nettie Verline Fillingim, age 84, departed this life on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Fillingim is preceded in death by her beloved husband; Jack Tony Fillingim, Sr., and one sister; Ruby Sturdivant.

   She is survived by two children; Jack Tony Fillingim, Jr., and Jacklyn Verline Sweeney, three step children; Jimmy (Betty) Dobbs, Leon (Gladys) Dobbs, and Ann McRae, two sisters; Virginia Stringer, and Katherine Tate, one brother; James (Linda) Sullivan, 13 grandchildren; Dalton Fillingim, Kristen Sweeney, Kayla Sweeney, Taylor Sweeney, Tracy Van Es, Jamie Miller, Timmy Dobbs, Lori Lowe, Drew Martin, Whitney Mosley, Gary Till, Stephanie Wall, and Jason Till, a host of great grandchildren, and many other family and friends.

   Visitation for Nettie will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 12 pm to 1 pm with funeral services to follow at Encounter Church, 5301 Lott Road Eight Mile, AL 36613. Interment will be held at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
