Norman Gayle Vardaman, Jr. was born to the proud parents Norman G. Vardaman, Sr. and JoAnn Carlisle Kountz. He was also loved by his stepmother, Bernadette Vardaman.
Norman entered his heavenly home on June 18, 2026.
He is survived by his sons, Norman G. Vardaman, III (Trey), Jacob “Hunter” Davis, and Preston Lane Vardaman. He is also survived by his brothers, Shane (Edana) Vardaman, Timothy (Dell) Kountz, Braydin Kountz, and Wyatt Kountz; and his sisters, Robin (Pat) Coley and Elizabeth (Travis) Burleson. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Norman shared a special friendship with his former wife, Natalie Miller, and her husband, Jason, as well as his bonus brother, Lance Thead. His beloved furbabies, Muffin and Bella, were also cherished members of his family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Vardaman; his stepfather, George E. Kountz III; his sister, Kimberly Norris; and his grandparents, Joe and Helen Carlisle, Mary and Dee Davison, Joe and Molly Vardaman, and Mavis Johnston.
Norman was a man who loved everyone and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. He dedicated many years of service to Mobile Paperboard. He now rejoins his younger brother in heaven, whom he missed dearly.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday June, 23, 2026 at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a chapel service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gradens.
