Patricia (Greenway) Smith

    Patricia Smith, 84, of Semmes, Alabama, passed away on August 4, 2025. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose vibrant spirit and passion for life left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

    Patricia was born to Thomas William Greenway and Margaret Mudd Greenway, and she carried the values of love and creativity throughout her life. She found joy in painting, expressing her artistic talents through beautiful works that captured the essence of her surroundings. Her love for gardening allowed her to cultivate a sanctuary of blooming flowers and lush greenery, reflecting her nurturing spirit. Additionally, Patricia had a deep passion for travel, embracing new experiences and adventures that enriched her life and created lasting memories with her family.

    She is survived by her three devoted children: Nigel A. Smith (Sara), Penelope J. Nichols, and Gerald P. Smith (Mickie). Patricia was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Caleb, Heather, Jillian, Audrey, Jayden, and Riley, and she delighted in the joy of being a great-grandmother to little Lilah-Kate Smith. Each of her family members held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the moments spent together.

    Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, but her legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

    A graveside service will be held in her honor on August 8, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Valhalla Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Patricia's life and the beautiful memories she created.

    In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local charity of your choice in Patricia's name, reflecting her generous spirit and commitment to helping others.

    Patricia Smith will be deeply missed, but her warmth, love, and artistic spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
