Retha Yvonne (Watts) Allen

  Retha Yvonne Watts Allen was born in Mobile Alabama on December 8, 1936. She was a founding member of Pathway Church in Mobile where she taught Sunday school for many years and impacted many lives. She passed away at the age of 83 surrounded by her daughters and loving husband of 66 years. Retha was a resident of Saraland, she passed away at Mobile Infirmary. She was preceded in death by her two daughters; Patti Allen and Donna Kay Hayes, parents; Birda and Robert Gowder.

   She is survived by her husband; Charles D. "Bobby" Allen, daughters; Gwen (Dalton) Walley, Wendy (Gene) Stuckey, Angie (Kerry) Hannah and Bobbie (Mark) Bryars, seven grandchildren; Vicki (Larry) Goss, James (Kassi) Orr, Kelly (Mathew) McKinley, Heather Lanzer, Andrew (Natalie) Hannah, Natalie (Chase) Moye, and Heath (Chelsea) Lanzer, 17 great-grandchildren.

  Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Pathway Church on Moffett Rd with services at 12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in Valhalla Memorial Gardens next to her daughter, and her family is at peace knowing she is “sheltered in the arms of God”.
