On January 2, 2025, around 11:29 pm, Robert Walters entered the unseen realm. He is a native of Tampa, Florida and was raised in Monroe County Alabama. He was born February 28, 1989, to Robert Walters Sr. and Debby Winters. He was preceded in death by his four unborn children; father, Robert Lanier Walters Sr.; father-in-law, Larry Thomas; aunt, Virginia Short; uncles, James Kyser and Wade Short.
Robert left behind his wife, Samantha Walters; five children; Christian, Skylar, Skylin, Conner and Samuel; his mother, Debby Winters; brothers, Bobby (Hazel) Walters, Jeff (Heather) Walters, Jesse, Daniel, Dominic, David and Steve (Marcie) Bell, his adopted brother. He was also loved by his in-laws, many nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends.
Robert was known as a Jack of all trades and someone who never met a stranger. He was always ready to help someone in need. He was the hardest working man with a passion for entrepreneurship, big rigs and he was also a skilled diesel mechanic. A lot can be said about his work, but his greatest passion was his family. Robert was a loving, gentle and kind husband and a goofy, fun-loving father, who loved being called daddy. He loved his wife more than anything! He always put his family first and his motivation was his wife and children. He adored his children and loved to spend time playing with them outside or telling them stories of his adventurous childhood. Not only was Robert a family man but he was a great friend to many. If you needed something fixed, he was the man to call. He impacted every life he touched. Robert left a hole in many hearts, and he will be greatly missed.
A verse of encouragement:
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Therefore, we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
In lieu of flowers all donations will be given to Robert's widow and children.
A visitation will be held on Friday January 10, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. followed by a chapel service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
