Ronald Kenneth Cochran, 72 born May 21, 1949 in Richton, Mississippi passed away late in the evening May 30, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. He was a loving husband, father, and Pawpaw. He was a long time resident of the Fort Lake community and spent 30+ years as a civil employee of the US Navy supervising ship building. He was a hard working man who loved his family first, including his dogs. He was the rock of his family who knew they could depend on him no matter what. He loved working in his shop, and was very talented working with his hands. In his later years he invested his time in building a future for his family. He sure was proud of his John Deere tractor. He is preceded in death by parents, Earl and Essie Gean Cochran, devoted uncle and aunt Kenneth & Lucille Pirtle, cherished grandmother Elizabeth Ivy, and son-in-law Robert Ray Strickland.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Jewell Elaine Epps Cochran; daughter, Ronda Elaine Strickland; granddaughter, Brittany Elaine Morris; great-grandson, Fisher Lee Morris; and sister, Karen (Joey) Irby. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 (10am for family and 11am for friends) funeral service will be at 12:00 PM. at Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Semmes, Alabama and laid to rest by the water near his family. Pallbearers will be Ray Musgrove Jr, Barry Musgrove, Shannon Graham, Brandon Legg, Billy Walker, and Rob Tingen. After the services anyone who wishes to join the family for is invited to the home of the departed.
