Willardene Watson

1938-2024

    Willardene Watson, 86, of Semmes, Alabama passed on July 7th 2024 at home surrounded by family. She was born June 23rd 1938 in Evergreen, Alabama to parents Helen and John Willard Salter, as one of seven children. After graduating high school she went on to earn a technical degree in cosmetology and operated a salon where she enjoyed a long career serving friends and neighbors. Willardene was preceded in death by her brothers Jackie and William Salter, her daughter Linda Cox, and her husband Lawrence Watson.

   She is survived by her daughter Laura Dueitt, grandchildren Skyler Hastings (Brandon Bailey), Michael Hobson, Ameina Tressler (David Tressler), Connie Howell, Nicholas Cox, and her devoted caregiver Brandon Bailey, as well as five great grandchildren.

   Funeral services will be held on Friday, July the 12th at 11am at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
