William Stewart Davenport, II, 57 year old resident of Semmes, Alabama died on August 26, 2022 in his home after a lengthy illness. Stewart loved dole grapefruit sections and just about anything sweet, he loved Hee Haw, he loved to laugh, and to remember the good old times from his childhood. Stewart was big hearted and would try to help others, even to his own detriment
William Stewart is survived by his two living children, Krystie Nicole (Brett) Woody of Mobile, Alabama and Joseph Davenport of Semmes, Alabama; his parents, Bill and Jackie Davenport of Semmes, Alabama; his sister, Tara Davenport of Semmes, Alabama. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, relatives, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his son, William Nicholas Davenport.
The graveside service will be held at Semmes First Baptist Church Cemetery, Monday, August 29, 2022 at 12:00 P. M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Semmes First Baptist Church Cemetery.
The pall bearers include: Joseph Davenport of Semmes, Brett Woody of Mobile, Alan Crane of New Hope, Mississippi, James Crane of Tanner Williams, Patrick Knight-Crane and Chadwick Knight of Dothan, Alabama.
The family would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank several organizations and people. Thank you to the Providence Family Physicians, especially Dr. Crystal Parks and her support staff. Also, thanks to Community Hospice. Additionally, thank you to the Semmes First Baptist Church Cemetery Committee. Also, thanks to Crawford Baptist Church for all the love and support shown to our family. Finally, thank you for all the prayers, food, and support from our church family and friends. We have been humbled by all the love and support.
