William Lavine Holland

   William (Bill) Lavine Holland born on July 23, 1941 passed away Saturday morning on October 9, 2021. He was a long time resident of Mobile, Alabama. He was born in Toxey, Alabama. Bill was a very hard working, kind and selfless man. He was always so giving and would try to help out in any way he could. He was devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He served proudly in the United States Army then afterwards, became a floor mechanic at Ingalls Shipyard for 20+ years. He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior. He loved his country, family, friends and Alabama Football. He's preceded in death by his loving wife, Thelma (Penny) Holland, daughter, Pamala Lane; father,  Alfred Holland; mother, Myrtie May Holland; five sisters and other loved ones.

   Mr. Holland is survived by his daughter, Sandra Pugh; grandchildren, Joshua (Carley) Bohannon, Christa (Bryan) Griffin, Hannah (Matthew) Sullivan, Joseph Lee Ward, Jessie (Courtney) Holland, Jamie Holland, Brian Lane, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Aubree, Cartar, Haidyn, Lauren, Kensleigh, Luke, Caroline, Alana, Maddison; brothers; Alfred Buddy (Angie) Holland and Arnold (Sherry) Holland, as well as many other loved ones.

   Visitation will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be following at 12:00 PM in Valhalla's Chapel.
